CoRDA delivers Human Resource and Skills
Development Canada’s(HRSDC) Self-Employment Benefit
Program. A program that assists HRSDC’s clients with
the start up of a business by providing guidance with the
preparation of a business plan, income support, training
and on-going support while the business is being launched.
Our partners are vital members of Colchester’s
Business Development Team offer financing that supports
business development and growth. The Atlantic Canada Opportunities
Agency (ACOA) and our local Community Business Development
– Northern Opportunities for Business Ltd. (NOBL)
are located in our offices. NOBL provides flexible term
loan programs for small businesses with up to $125,000 in
financing for business start-ups, expansions and other business
purposes. ACOA provides various interest free loans for
small & medium sized businesses in specific sectors aimed at
establishing, expanding or modernizing their business.
Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI), although
not located at our offices, is another important member
of Colchester’s Business Development Team. NSBI offers
client-specific financial solutions tailored to meet the
unique needs of Nova Scotia business. Their small business
expansion services like export development and business
advisory services are designed to grow business and create
opportunities.
