Immigration
Multicultural Cooking Series a Hit
Series sold
out for its debut
The launch of
the Multicultural Cooking Series was an astounding success as
the Atlantic Superstore Community Room was filled to capacity
for a night of Persian Cuisine and Culture
on July 21st. There was such
a high demand for tickets, that the Colchester Immigration
Partnership of CoRDA is considering holding a second evening
of Persian Cuisine.
Members of the Truro Persian community,
Flora Riyahi, Tara Winship and Nova Scotia Agricultural
College student Maryam Moghaddam were the evenings hosts and
did a superb job of providing participants with a unique look
into Persian culture. Participants were treated to an evening
of Persian music, Persian dance, Persian story telling and of
course Persian food. Menu items included Kashk-e Baademjan,
Polow, Khoreshte Fesenjan and
Baklava.
The Colchester Immigration Partnership
of CoRDA will be holding the second night of their
Multicultural Cooking Series with Lebanese Cuisine and Culture
on August 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Atlantic Superstore
Community Room. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by
calling 893-8099. There are a limited number of tickets
available, so be sure to buy yours today.
